Pasror Kaari Reierson is our Bridge Pastor. She lives with her family in Wilmette.
Pr. Kaari is also the Director for Corporate Social Responsibility at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, where, in addition, she was the founding editor of the Journal of Lutheran Ethics.

Pr. Kaari attended Harvard University and received her Master's of Divinity at Yale Divinity School.

Leo Radosavljec (he/him), is our interim music minister. He is a local and native of Chicago.
Leo spent his childhood singing in the Lyric Opera Children’s Chorus and studying piano. A graduate of New Tier High School, he attended The Juilliard School where he received a bachelors degree with scholastic distinction and a masters degree.

Upon returning to the Chicagoland area, he obtained a masters degree in collaborative piano from De Paul. Leo has an extensive opera career as a bass-baritone and is a brilliant collaborative pianist.
Evergreen Edwards (they/them) is a Master of Divinity Student at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.
Evergreen is from Decatur, IL, and has a bachelor’s degree in business management.
They have experience in childcare, children’s ministry, and child safety. They have been a counselor at Eastbay Camping retreat ministries, a programm

Jan Wendel (she/her), is a life-long member of St. John’s and has worked in the church office since October, 1990.

We offer a variety of ministries to help you get involved in the direction of our church life. These ministries also provide opportunities for fellowship, growth, and service.
This is our church’s primary leadership team. They are responsible for oversight of the operating teams and advancing the mission and ministry of the church. There are regular council seats and four officers. Our pastors also sit on the church council. Members are elected for a three-year term.
This team works with our Youth and Family Leader and our Pastor to inspire and educate our youth. Their goal is to foster an understanding of faith in our youth and instill a value of justice for all.
This team is responsible for the health of our building and spaces. They oversee repairs, maintenance, and general well-being of our beautiful building in the heart of Wilmette.
Nominates candidates for Church Council and representatives to attend the Metropolitan Chicago Synod Assembly.
The budget team is responsible for guiding, preparing and presenting our annual ministry spending plan (budget) and making other recommendations to the council regarding the congregations’ finances.
Responsible for fund administration and distribution of grants and awards.
